Collection: Japanese blue dyed ancient cloth series
Indigo-dyed ancient cloth first appeared in the Meiji era in Japan, using the traditional Japanese dyeing technique Katazome. The weaving, plate-making, printing and dyeing of its textiles, as well as the spinning of cotton are all done by craftsmen. Traditional Katazome designs have different patterns, such as flowers...birds...etc...different shades of indigo dyeing have their own names, which is very interesting.
Japanese indigo dyed ancient cloth, combined with Italian/Japanese leather, another flavor!
